Oyster Vision Grader

Oystek G5 Oyster Grading System

Increase Productivity, Create Free Time

Accurate Oyster Measurement

The system measures oyster length in millimeters, counting and directing oysters to programmable output chutes. Data for each grading session can be saved and transferred. Our grading system is designed specifically for the oyster industry.

Reliable Oyster Distribution System

Our proven distribution system has one moving part and can direct graded oysters to any of 8 programmable output chutes. Grade and count oysters directly into many types of oyster basket systems as well as into sales bags or buckets.

Easy to use interface

The User interface is easy to use, requiring little to no specific training. Grading schemes can be easily opened and used, or edited and saved. Creating a new grading scheme can be done in a few minutes. Adjustments to the grading scheme can also be made while in operation.

Compact Size

The Oystek Grader complete system requires requires less than 13.12ft by 13.12ft (4x4m) - This included the grade, elevator, separotor, ancillary conveyors and hopper.

Low Power

While the average power required by an Oystek G5 grader is less than 500 watts, the peak power requirement is much higher. Because of the low power requirement, it can be operated on a standalone solar power system or small AC generator. The grader does not need running water or compressed air.

Low Labor Cost

The Oystek grader only requires a single person to operate, which means there are very minimal labour costs involved with running the grading machine.

Hopper Creep

The hopper holds large volumes of oysters, filtering them down onto the attached creep conveyor. The creep conveyor carries oysters from the hopper up to a working height. Conveyor height is adjustable, speed and start/stop functions are controllable on the power box.

Comes standard with height-adjustable foot inserts and hard-wired motor cable. Optional castor wheels and disconnect cable are available.

Sorting Conveyer / Power Box

The sorting conveyor takes oysters from the creep conveyor to the elevator, it is used to manually inspect product and remove foreign objects. Speed and start/stop functions are controllable on the power box, which is mounted to the sorting conveyor frame.

Power box is mounted to the sorting conveyor frame. Comes standard with height-adjustable foot inserts. Optional castor wheels are available.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

G5s + ancillaries in U-shape is the smallest possible configuration (4x4m).

Average power consumption is less than 500w. The system can run on solar, generator or mains power.

While not required, it is best practice. Washing oysters before grading will typically increase accuracy, lower return rates and reduce grit build-up.

Rinse with fresh water once per week. Wipe down with a lanolin dampened cloth once per month.

Lifetime remote technical support. Call us if you have any issues and we’ll do our best to resolve them over the phone, or send a technician as quickly as possible.

The machine can be quickly moved by two people and transported off site if needed

There is no requirement for spare parts. It is advisable to keep some bearing grease and lanolin on hand for general maintenance.

An undercover area where the grader is protected from the elements and can be safely supplied with power. No additional infrastructure is required. The grader will perform better on a solid level surface.

Washing grit and foreign objects from the product pathways. Applying a protective coat of lanolin to stainless steel.
